For all you seamstresses and fabric lovers out there, I'm pretty sure you might have the same problem I do. Not being able to resist buying beautiful fabric and then having an overabundance sitting around your house!
My goal for this year is to go through as much of that fabric as possible and put it to good use by creating useful and beautiful objects, both to add to my shop and for using in my own home.
I have pillowcases and napkins in the works, but the past few weeks, I've been having fun making patchwork pillows, zipper bags, and even little drawstring pouches for banners out of fabric that is way too nice to let sit around, but not big enough to make something as large as a tote bag or full size pillows. It is so satisfying to turn these little bits into something useful, and I hope, beautiful! Waste not, want not. I think Benjamin Franklin said that, and I concur.
My favorites are pictured above!
